It all began with an inspired idea over a few casual beers and a train ride home. At Hessian Coffee & Vending, our passion drives us to constantly innovate and elevate our standards, benefiting all our coffee enthusiasts. We pride ourselves on our direct relationships with farmers, ensuring that every batch of coffee we roast is consistent and captures the unique characteristics that each bean brings.
Our Offerings — With a diverse range of over 10 coffee blends, including 100% Arabica, blended coffees, Fairtrade, Rainforest Alliance, and decaffeinated options, there's a flavour for every palate. But that's not all! We also cater to lovers of filter and bulk brew coffees, as well as cafetière.

The People Behind the Beans
Niall McCrae
Niall's entrepreneurial spirit was evident early on when he established The Direct Insurance Group at 21. After venturing into the software agency domain, Niall felt the urge for a new challenge. A chance conversation with Neil Clark led to the birth of Hessian Coffee. With a strong background in business and a shared passion for quality coffee, the duo set the foundation for what Hessian Coffee is today.
Neil Clark
With over 20 years in the coffee industry, Neil's journey began as a chef at prestigious locations like Harrods and Knightsbridge. His transition into the coffee world began with Scottish roaster Matthew Algie. After gaining extensive experience in both the coffee and equipment sectors, Neil co-founded Hessian Coffee in Bishop's Stortford in 2013. His vision? To deliver comprehensive services, products, and education to the coffee industry with the utmost honesty and reliability.
