Ethical Coffee Sourcing Statement

At Hessian Coffee, we believe that how coffee is sourced matters just as much as how it tastes. While our coffees are not exclusively Fairtrade certified, we work closely with our roasting partner, Masteroast Coffee, to ensure every bean is sourced responsibly, sustainably, and with genuine care for the people behind it.

Our supply chain is built on long term relationships with trusted producers and exporters who are committed to fair wages, safe working conditions, and the complete prohibition of child or forced labour. These standards are guided by internationally recognised frameworks such as the Ethical Trading Initiative Base Code.

We actively support coffees that are certified Organic, Rainforest Alliance, and Bird Friendly where appropriate, and every shipment is carefully assessed to ensure both quality and integrity. Beyond certification, we focus on meaningful, ongoing partnerships that provide stability for farming communities and encourage continuous improvement in environmental and social practices.

For us, ethical sourcing is not a badge it's a responsibility. One we are committed to upholding with transparency, diligence, and respect for the communities we serve.
